Everybody is carrying on about Julia Gillard these days, and how much better than Kevin Rudd she is. Julia Julia Julia. You know, she is so good that if she were leading the government they’d be ahead in the opinion polls 58 to 42 again mate!
Truth be told, Julia is as bad at explaining things as Kevin is, but because the leader is doing badly she gets that looks-great-by-comparison gloss. Still, as deputy she has the excuse of having to work with dreadful material churned out by the prime minister’s office.
But today is Wayne Swan’s day, with budget number 3. Wayne’s been in not too bad form lately, eg with Laurie Oakes on Sunday. (Taking acting lessons?)
